About: Red Oak leaf lettuce have leaves similar to oak - elongated and lobed. The leaves grow upward and outward into a rosette, with vibrant burgundy leaves. This lettuce has a sweet and nutty flavor with a buttery texture. Its origin is unclear but it was available in the UK in the 17th century.
