Echevera ‘Dark Desire'

A blue-green rosette with pink to lavender flushing when grown in bright sunlight. Echeveria Mensa has a low, wide form with lots of densely-packed leaves. The leaves have a powdery coating of natural wax (farina). The newest growth at the center of the plant will retain the frosty blue-green coloration, creating a great contrast within each nearly symmetrical rosette. With a low-growing form, this variety reaches up to 6 inches in diameter , inflorescences of bright yellow blooms before beginning to produce offsets, making it an excellent element within a temperate rock garden, or a stunning ‘filler’ component in an arrangement.

Full sun to filtered shade. Average Water Needs; Water regularly; do not over water.

As with all succulents, the most dangerous situation is too much water- they should never be allowed to sit in water under any circumstances.

These decorative little plants can be grown in interesting containers such as tea cups and even miniature baby shoes. Make sure the container had adequate drainage. If it doesn t, it might be a good idea to pop the plant out of its container and add a layer of gravel to the bottom to reduce the wicking action of the soil above.
